This is a pivotal 12-to-15-month fixed-term contract for a strategic Finance Transition Manager to oversee a high-stakes ERP migration. Following a recent corporate divestment, our client—a leading manufacturer—is transitioning from a legacy SAP environment to Epicor Kinetic. You will act as the bridge between the finance function and the technical implementation team, ensuring that all financial controls, processes, and reporting requirements are seamlessly integrated into the new operating environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the finance workstream for the Epicor Kinetic implementation, ensuring all business requirements are prioritised and delivered.
- Partner with the Financial Controller to redesign and document robust, scalable finance processes across GL, O2C, P2P, and Fixed Assets.
- Oversee complex manufacturing finance requirements, including inventory planning, cost accounting, and MES functionality.
- Coordinate all finance-led data migration activities, including data cleansing, chart of accounts mapping, and balance validation.
- Manage the end-to-end Testing and Readiness phase, including leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and sign-off.
- Facilitate workshops and system design sessions, acting as a critical challenger to ensure technical solutions meet financial needs.
- Develop and validate financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs within the new ERP environment.
- Drive business readiness by ensuring the finance team is fully trained and supported during the go-live and post-implementation phases.
- Manage stakeholders across the business and external consultancy partners to resolve programme risks and dependencies.
About you
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record of leading finance-focused ERP implementation programmes within the manufacturing sector.
- Deep technical understanding of management and financial accounting, production scheduling, and cost accounting.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to solve complex data and process problems under project pressure.
- Strong project management background, capable of managing competing priorities and tight cutover deadlines.
- Highly articulate communicator able to influence senior leadership and facilitate technical discussions with non-finance stakeholders.
Why apply
- Play a lead role in a transformative project that will define the future operating model of a newly independent business.
- Gain high-profile exposure to senior leadership during a critical corporate divestment and separation phase.
- Utilise and expand your expertise in Epicor Kinetic and modern manufacturing execution systems.
- Join a dynamic, project-focused environment where your financial integrity and system insights are highly valued.
